Hey there, I don’t know if the artists among you recognize this, but on my ‘endeavours’, sketching in my sketchbooks, I often catch myself drawing a certain set of reoccuring characters, with no context or story. It feels like a scratch in the vinyl that my needle likes to go into. Like the little ‘basehead’ you draw when you don’t think. I decided to go through my sketchbook and see if i could collect a couple of those scratches and use them as building blocks for a couple of fully designed characters, sharing the same world. It ended up being quite a personal trip. I distilled 5 characters till now and here is the first one. This woman is a young single parent of 2 little girls. She lives close to her friends in a small communal city by the sea.
